Dwarka Expressway to Get a New Lease of Health! Decathlon gets Flagship Store in Vatika’s India Next
With a growing population, there is a huge demand to cater to not just their residential projects on dwarka expressway but also their shopping, entertainment, and fitness needs. Decathlon is one of the most popular sporting goods brands that has quite a fan following across the world. With several stores across India to its credit, they are getting a huge 50,000 sq. ft. flagship store in New Gurgaon Dwarka Expressway.
Delhi-NCR based Vatika Group is known to provide timely delivery of sound construction with amazing design and architecture. With several commercial and residential projects to their credit, they are coming up with a retail project for Decathlon! The project will be constructed on a ‘built-to-suit’ format and is expected to have a total investment of a whooping INR 620 crore!
The French sporting goods company Decathlon is a world-renowned name in sports-related items including sporting gears, accessories, and even mountaineering and camping gears. Their flagship store in New Gurgaon will have nearly 50,000 sq. ft. area in Vatika’s next commercial project. The project currently under construction is part of the huge Vatika India Next township that is coming up at the junction of Dwarka Expressway and NH-48.
Vatika’s India Next project is being constructed on a built-to-suit format with 1.2 million sq. ft. of leasable area. The retail project of this township, Shopper’s Village INXT, will cater to a population of approximately 4.5 lakh present in its vicinity. Additionally, with NH-48 in proximity, the count is expected to increase. The first phase of 5 lakh sq. ft. is expected to be ready by September 2022.
According to Alok Mehta, Head Product Strategy, Vatika, the inspiration for Shopper’s Village INXT are several similar projects across the world like Bicester Village, London and Xintiandi, Shanghai. Partnering with Decathlon for their flagship store in New Gurgaon is, therefore, a great start! The project will have a 500 ft. wide direct access from the highway. Additionally, toll-free access from SPR, Sohna Road and Golf Course Extension Road and upcoming RRTS metro corridor will direct traffic here.
